Lockhart Power Company is preparing for a winter storm expected to impact our service territory this weekend. Forecasts indicate snowfall accompanied by gusty winds and continued cold temperatures, which could lead to hazardous travel conditions and possible power outages.
While dry, powdery snow is generally less likely to affect power equipment than ice, strong winds combined with snow may bring down trees or limbs, especially in areas already impacted by recent winter weather, and could make roads difficult for both customers and crews. If outages occur, restoration efforts may take longer depending on weather conditions and accessibility.
Customers are encouraged to prepare now, limit travel unless absolutely necessary, and prioritize safety as conditions worsen. Our crews will be ready to respond as soon as it is safe to do so.
We will continue monitoring the storm and share updates here, on Facebook, and on our website (www.lockhartpower.com) as conditions evolve.
To report an outage, call (864) 545-2211 and press 1.
