Lockhart Power Company has partnered with Invoice Cloud to offer our customers the option to make payments online. Click here to view or pay a bill.

The new electronic payment options offer several benefits to our customers.

  • The simple, easy to use, online payment processing service provided by Invoice Cloud allows customers to pay bills via electronic check, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover and is Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant.
  • Customers have the ability to view and/or pay bills online at any time, at their convenience.
  • Payments can be made immediately or scheduled for a future date.
  • An email is sent to customers to confirm receipt of payment immediately following payment processing.
  • If the AutoPay option is selected, bill payment will be processed – automatically – on the bill’s due date using the checking account, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover designated by the customer.
  • Customers can register to receive email reminders when a payment is due in order to avoid late fees and the need to track due dates.

EXPLANATION OF BILL

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
  1. CUSTOMER BILL STUB: The top portion of the bill should be included with your payment, whether paying by mail or at a customer service center. When making a payment in person, you must bring your customer bill stub or your payment may not be accepted.
  2. CUSTOMER ACCOUNT NUMBER: The customer account number is used for any billing questions and/or to pay your bill online or via telephone.
  3. A. BALANCE FORWARD: Amount due from the previous month’s bill at the time a new bill is generated. This amount may be subject to disconnect due to non-payment unless a payment plan has been requested and approved. Refer to NOTE 1 below which explains timing differences. B. CURRENT CHARGES: Any charge or credit applied to your account since the previous month’s bill was generated. This includes Non-Recurring Items. Refer to NOTE 1 below which explains timing differences. C. TOTAL AMT. DUE: The balance forward plus current charges.
  4. ELECTRIC RATE: The rate class for this account. Click here to be redirected to all approved Rate Schedules.
  5. CURRENT AND PREVIOUS READ: The reading of the meter at the beginning and at the end of the period for which the bill is rendered.
  6. POWER ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE: The Power Adjustment Clause (PAC) is an amount that changes each month based on purchased power costs, fuel costs, and credits associated with off-system sales from specific renewable energy generation facilities. The PAC rate is multiplied by your previous month’s energy usage (in kWh) to calculate the PAC amount.
  7. CUSTOMER CHARGE: This fixed monthly charge is the basic fee for your electric service. It does not fluctuate with usage and does not include any consumption. This fee is intended to cover costs of servicing a customer, including meter reading, billing, etc..
  8. ENERGY CHARGE: The current period’s energy usage (in kWh) multiplied by the energy rate (per the applicable rate schedule. It is a charge for delivering electricity from the electrical substation, through the power lines, to your home.
  9. OUTDOOR LIGHTING CHARGE (ODL): A fixed monthly charge for customers who have requested that Lockhart Power install and maintain outdoor lighting for security or other purposes. Click here for more information about this affordable benefit for Lockhart Power customers.
  10. CURRENT AND PREVIOUS READ DATE: Beginning and ending dates for the billing period.
  11. MESSAGE CENTER: Please read any comments in the Message Center every month for important information regarding your account.
  12. NONRECURRING ITEMS: Charges or credits applied to the account since the previous month’s bill was generated (i.e. Deposits, Deposit Installments, Late Payment Penalties, Deposit Interest, Reconnect Fees). Refer to NOTE 1 below which explains timing differences.

NOTE 1: If you have made a payment for your previous month’s bill or for any reconnect fee to have service restored AFTER the new bill has been generated, your payment will be properly reflected on your account but due to timing, the payment will not be reflected on the new bill copy.
