Economic Development

Lockhart Power is an integral partner in economic development in our service territory. We work closely with local, regional and state organizations to attract and retain quality industrial and commercial companies. These companies provide jobs, broaden the tax base and help allow utilities to keep rates lower over time.

With a team that has extensive economic development experience and a parent company with real estate development expertise, we are committed to helping organizations pursue their industrial and commercial goals. Through a number of strategic partnerships, Lockhart Power has made significant investments in industrial park development and infrastructure expansions in Union and Spartanburg Counties in South Carolina.

Site opportunities are available at two large industrial parks within Lockhart Power’s service area. Within Midway Green Industrial Park, Lockhart Power has developed the Midway Green Industrial Spec Building, a 100,000 square foot building that is expandable to 200,00 square feet and is available for opportunities in Q3 of 2018.

Tyger River Industrial Park North, adjacent to I-85 and I-26 in Spartanburg County, places you in S.C.’s most active industrial corridor. Sites on the 887-acre property are now for sale.
