Lockhart Power has an opening for a qualified Warehouse Specialist. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage inventory systems, operate a lift truck, and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an ability to work in a team environment are essential requirements for all applicants.

Job Requirements
  • Communicate over the phone professionally and provide satisfactory customer service
  • Ability to inspect, maintain, and operate a lift truck
  • Proficiency on a computer with inventory management systems, customer service systems, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Shipping and receiving materials and equipment
  • Physically able to retrieve heavy materials related to utility construction
  • Self-motivated to maintain and organize warehouse grounds and buildings
  • Follow all company safety policies and best practices to maintain and promote a safe work environment
  • Ability to work in adverse and inclement weather conditions
  • Applicant must not be afraid of heights
Education/Experience Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift certified
  • 2 years of experience working on a forklift or in a warehouse environment

Preferred: 

  • Experience with asset/inventory management
  • 5+ years of verifiable forklift and warehouse management experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Minimum:

  • Ability to retrieve and organize inventory materials for daily job activities
  • Ability to answer customer service requests promptly and professionally
  • Ability to use appropriate PPE for a variety of job tasks
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools as needed
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and assigned
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and experience with ordering materials and maintaining inventory stock levels
  • Electrical wiring skills including conduit installation
  • Experience using outage management and customer service management software

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying (50+ lbs.)
  • Frequent pushing/pulling (50+ lbs.)
  • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
  • Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder and climb stairs
  • Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift)
  • Ability to work outdoors / uncontrolled climate

Pay negotiable but in the $19 to $21 per hour range depending on qualifications and experience, with full benefits.
