Lockhart Power will include messages to customers in this box concerning any information of which you need to be aware. Customers should check this message box on every bill.
PAC stands for Power Adjustment Clause. This includes power bought from Duke Energy to supplement Lockhart Power’s power production, fuel purchases and a credit associated with certain renewable energy generation facilities. This charge is based on your prior month’s usage of kilowatt hour units.
This charge is an administrative fee related to customer service, billing, postage and certain other fixed costs.
Energy is measured in kilowatt hours (kWh) used per month.
Kilowatt hour usage is listed in units on your bill. See the sample bill above for an example.
Yes, Outdoor Lighting service (see “OL” Rate) is available to provide general outdoor lighting for security or other purposes. The Company provides all of the equipment for a flat monthly rate, which varies by the level of lighting selected: 100/175 watts, 400 watts, or 1,000 watts. Also, for municipalities or others (by special agreement), Street Lighting service (see “SL” Rate) is available. Simply call Lockhart Power and we’ll handle everything for you.

To become a customer of Lockhart Power, complete an application for service at Lockhart Power, Pacolet Town Hall, Jonesville Town Hall, or Stacy’s in Monarch. See the Billing & Payment page for the address of each of these sites. Please bring your driver’s license and social security card. You may also be asked to provide current sufficient documentation (i.e. rental lease, property tax documentation, credit card statement, etc.) for address verification. Deposits are determined upon your credit check. Deposits are refundable to the account after the 24th month of perfect paying history. If you move prior to the deposit refunding and a balance remains, the deposit will refund to the account and any credit left will be mailed to the customer’s forwarding address. Deposits accrue interest on behalf of the customer.
